Alice Schivardi was born in 1976 in Erba (Italy). She attended the course of artist Alberto Garutti at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, graduating with a thesis on Louise Bourgeois. Her interactions with various artists allowed her to deepen her understanding of drawing as a method of investigation and to continually experiment with materials and techniques, accumulating a multiplicity of experiences both professionally and socially.
She was involved in many awards, including the Cairo Prize at Palazzo Reale, Milan, the Maretti Prize at the PAN Museum in Naples, and won the first prize in Videominuto at the Pecci Museum in Prato, Italy (2008).
Among her most recent solo exhibitions: Corvi o colombe? (performance), Nuvola di Fuksas, Rome (2023); Alice in Chains, Todi, Italy (2023); La vita è una ruota, Una Vetrina, Maxxi_the independent, Rome (2019); A suon di ali, Monumento Naturale Palude di Torre Flavia, Ladispoli, Rome (2019); Ero figlia unica, Pescheria Foundation – Visual Arts Center, Pesaro, Italy (2015); Wormholes, Los Sures Museum, in collaboration with I.S.C.P., New York (2014).
She also took part in group exhibitions at the Pecci Museum in Prato, the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome, the Richard Saltoun Gallery in London, the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Palazzo Trinci in Foligno, and the American Academy in Rome.
She contributed in international art events, including Manifesta 12 (Palermo, 2018), I Martedì Critici in Rome, and TEDx Women Navigli in Milan (2021).
