1980
Tadija Janičić was born in 1980 in Nikšić, Montenegro. Currently living and working in Novi Sad, Serbia.
He graduated from his undergraduate and master studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Novi Sad in the class of professor Milan Blanuša.
Since 2003 he has held numerous solo exhibitions in Hungary, Japan, Montenegro, Serbia and Switzerland.
Moreover, he has regularly participated in group exhibitions in Berlin, Brussels, Bucharest, Geneva, Ljubljana, London, Los Angeles, Novi Sad, Östersund (Sweden), Paris (Cultural Center of Serbia), Rome, Saint Petersburg, Strasbourg, Timisoara (Romania), Vienna.
In 2014, Janičić held his solo show “Fairy tales for naughty kids” at the Museum of Contemporary Art Vojvodina, Novi Sad, Serbia.
He has received several painting awards:
2020 – Likovna jesen, Biennial Exhibition of Contemporary Art, Sombor, Serbia
2008 – First Painting Award of the 37th Salon of Novi Sad, Novi Sad, Serbia
2008 – Award YU Palettes of the Young Painters, Vrbas, Serbia
2003 – Best young artist in the category of Drawing, Project Perspektive II, Art Clinic, Novi Sad, Serbia
2001 – Annual Award for Drawing, Faculty of Visual Arts, Cetinje, Montenegro
His paintings are part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Novi Sad; the City Museum of Novi Sad, Novi Sad, Serbia; Telenor Collection (Belgrade), and numerous private collections around the world.
